Xicato’s successful but unusual location at Light and Building, outside on the Agora Piazza at stand number AG.0 A10, is becoming a tradition (our 'shack on the square').

We are very excited to showcase the Xicato Point Module (XPM), with a very small light emitting area (double the lumens/area of the 3000lm XSM). The XPM is initially targeted to replace 10° (and narrower beam) conventional lamps. Again, without any light compromise.

As well as this new platform, other range additions will include an Artist Series version of our linear module range, the 3000lm XLM Artist Series, alongside 3000 and 4000lm versions of the Standard XLM. With the spot range, a 1300lm Artist Series XSM will be unveiled, alongside a 3000lm standard XSM. All will be shown in operation, on passive heatsinks. The Xicato portfolio is now fully suited for adoption in mainstream applications, especially retail, hospitality, residential and museums.

We will highlight improvements and additions to Xicato’s established range of LED modules which, incorporating our patented Corrected Cold Phosphor TechnologyTM, provide time honored halogen light quality. Improvements include general efficacy increases to 70lm/W (sufficient to meet all standards), of course all measured at application temperature and at their highest drive current setting, and across all CCTs. This upgrade will firstly be launched at L&B in the 3000lm XSM.  

Xicato aspires to become the most trusted provider in the LED industry and feel that a vital aspect of this trust will derive from our industry best reliability. Measurements will be detailed showing a through-life color point and lumen maintenance tight enough to erase all designer worries on the longevity of their lighting schemes. As with all our public outings, we will show Xicato based luminaires from an ever expanding global base of customers, as well as featuring a number of especially made creations.

The stand has been designed by Light Collective (www.lightcollective.net), a highly unusual and innovative UK based lighting consultancy with whom we are proud to have forged a creative relationship over the past two years. As with their design of our 2011 Euroshop stand it pivots around their Rule no. 12: ‘Challenge Convention’. They comment: ‘Our design will visually incorporate all the key Xicato messages: consistency, incredible color rendering and sustainability’. Links with traditional light fair stands will be few and far between.
