It was 1947 when Reg and Kay Chelsom opened their small antique lighting shop in Blackpool under the name ‘The Golden Age’. Soon progressing to three shops, they began to manufacture reproduction period lighting which they distributed to retailers and interior designers throughout the UK. Their son and current Chairman, Robert Chelsom, took over in the 1970s and led the company to the forefront of the hospitality lighting industry. Since his son Will Chelsom joined in 2006, great strides have been made in the marine industry and in exports which now account for over half of the company’s turnover.

We design, manufacture and assemble all of our products in the UK, at our premises just outside of Edinburgh.
